Abuja International Airport

Abuja International Airport is a major international airport servicing Abuja, the capital of the Federal Capital Territory of Lagos, the third largest metropolis in Africa. It is one of the busiest airports in Nigeria and is the major airport servicing the northern part of the country. It was originally named NNEM IATA for "Nigeria International Airport".

Abuja International Airport services both international flights and local flights with some of the terminals located on the west and east side of the airport. The main terminal building is the oldest part of the facility and has three terminals and a single parking area for local use. The Abuja International Airport was built with an eye to accommodating more passengers than the existing airports in the same area.

Most of the flights that arrive at Abuja International Airport land either at the runway or on the taxiway. It takes about three hours for most international flights to reach their destination at the Abuja International Airport.

There is a railway station inside the airport premises where international passengers can board trains heading for Lagos and Abuja.

There are two terminals at the Abuja International Airport with each terminal serving different types of international flights. The West terminal is the busiest in the airport with flights landing daily. This terminal serves the domestic airlines. The East terminal houses the commercial airlines and is also the busiest with international flights.

The Aba International Airport is one of the major airports in Nigeria and has the third largest number of international airfares. It is also one of the largest in the country with several international flights. It also serves international flights coming from Europe, the United States and Asia.
